The School Society

The School Society is an organisation consisting of parents, teachers and friends of the school.  The committee, comprising teaching staff, parents and village representatives, meets regularly and organises meetings and activities which are both enjoyable and informative.  We enjoy strong support from our parents and regard their involvement as being essential to the continued success of the school.

The School Society runs social events to raise money  for the school and to enable parents to get to know each other.  During 2008-9 we held a Craft Fair, Bingo Evening and a Quiz, and raised over £2000 for the school.  We also provided refreshments for the Carol Service and Year 6 Welcome Evening. 

 

This year the School Society has funded the purchase of 29 DVDs in French, Spanish and German (with subtitles)  for the library, and specialised scissors for the textile department.  School Society funds will be used to help to furnish the new Sixth Form building.
